| Glyn Bailey has created a 15 track CD that could almost be a release from the 80's. In fact, at points I was convinced it was early Bowie stuff re-released. Glyn's songs have a range of quirky titles from 'Sorry (She Went Down On Me But I Thought Of You)' to 'The Plastic Bag Song' to 'A Dream Of Laurel And Hardy.'
This is predominately an electric guitar album, but beautifully filled out with various under used and under rated instruments, such as the accordion and banjo. Most the songs have a good upbeat tempo and Glyn’s voice smoothes in with it all very well.
The final track on the CD is a bonus one called 'Friends (John & Yoko In Bed)' that hears Glyn accompanied by other singers, which I presume are his friends, to ring out the well known phrase 'That's What Friends Are For.'
Bob Dylan sounding vocals take a hold of his voice in the 'Missing' track. This song, like a lot on the album, is lengthy and sounds like it's about a lost love or something along those lines.
Could this be an album mainly of infidelity and separation? Quite possibly.
